People who say they don't talk to their pets are totally lying.
Overheard chez moi:
"No! Get down! You cannot be up on the counter."
"Stop that, princess!"
"Why are you doing that?!"
"You just ate five minutes ago."
"That is not your toy."
But of course what I love to hear most (usually right before she goes to sleep) is:
"Mommy loves you, princess. You are the best."
